Pakistan PM, Qatari Amir Visit Manzar Art Gallery

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, visited the Manzar Art Gallery at the Qatar Museum in Doha today.

Following high-level delegation and bilateral meetings, the two leaders traveled together from Diwan Amiri to the Qatar Museum. The Amir personally guided Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif through the ‘Manzar’ exhibition, showcasing Pakistani artworks.

A warm and cordial atmosphere characterized the visit, with the Amir and his sister, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, who chairs the Qatar Museum, introducing the Prime Minister to the organizers and Pakistani artists.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to the Amir and Sheikha Al Mayassa for hosting the exhibition, noting that it serves as a source of pride for the entire Pakistani nation. He highlighted that the Manzar Art Gallery reflects the strong social and fraternal ties between Qatar and Pakistan.

During the visit, the Prime Minister also met with renowned Pakistani architect Nayyar Ali Dada, as well as various painters, photographers, calligraphers, and other artists.

The exhibition features a diverse collection of Pakistani paintings, photography, sculptures, and artworks spanning from 1940 to the present, including works by notable artists such as Shakir Ali, Sadequain, Gulgee, Zubeida Agha, and Kamil Khan Mumtaz.
