ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has emphasized the deep integration of human rights and women’s empowerment in Pakistan’s religious, cultural, social, and political values.
Mushaal Mullick was addressing the launching ceremony of the “Hundred Day Plan – Execution and Achievements by the Caretaker Government” at the Governor House in Lahore.
The launching ceremony, graced by Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, featured a detailed presentation on the Execution and Achievements of the 100-day plan by Sabien Hussein Mullik, the focal person to SAPM and one of the architects of the plan. The event, organized in collaboration with Infocomm, a renowned organization for its work on Women Empowerment and Financial Inclusion, was attended by dignitaries from civil society and organizations dedicated to women’s empowerment and human rights.
Mushaal highlighted that human rights and women’s empowerment principles are deeply embedded in Pakistan’s constitution and national heritage. She advocated for increased female engagement in social and digital arenas, stating that the 100-day plan includes innovative solutions to uplift and empower women across Pakistan.
Despite its constrained mandate, the caretaker setup demonstrated a robust resolve to achieve the objectives outlined in the 100-Day Plan, according to Mushaal. She expressed hope that all stakeholders, driven by a shared commitment, would actively contribute to advancing human rights and women’s empowerment in Pakistan.
Advisor to SAPM on Gender Inclusion, Sam Ali Dada, stressed the need for focused efforts on empowering women through financial inclusion, considering it a pivotal pillar for advancing gender equality and unlocking the nation’s true potential.
Governor Punjab Commends Mushaal Efforts for Human Rights Advocacy
The 100-day plan, developed by the Ministry of Human Rights under the leadership of SAPM, encompasses initiatives across critical areas such as Gender Equality, Education, Economic Empowerment, Healthcare, Violence against Women, Political Participation, Legal Rights, Reproductive Rights, Freedom from Discrimination, Child Marriage, Access to Justice, Media Representation, Access to Technology, and Social and Economic Safety Nets.
Governor Punjab commended the dedicated efforts of those involved in shaping the 100-day plan and acknowledged SAPM Mushaal Hussein Mullick for her endeavors in championing human rights and empowering Pakistani women. The Governor declared Mushaal as a source of inspiration and an emblem of the Kashmir freedom movement.
