PESHAWAR: Police personnel repulsed an attack of the terrorists on a police station in Lakki Marwat district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan on Sunday night, a private TV channel reported.
According to local media terrorists attacked the Bakhmal Police Station in Lakki Marwat and opened fire at the police men. Police personnel returned the fire and after heavy exchange of fire, the terrorist escape from the scene. However, no casualty was reported in the attack.

Sources suggest that tribal elders and people also took up arms and came out in large number to support police officials in the area. They also raised slogans in the support of the police personnel.
Earlier at least 12 terrorists were killed in an operation conducted by security forces and police in Lakki Marwat.
