LONDON: Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in London to hold a meeting with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, local media reported on Sunday night.
Former PM Reaches London for Talks with Nawaz Sharif
A local TV cited sources as saying that Shehbaz Sharif will discuss the present political situation in the country with Nawaz Sharif. The TV further reported that the two leaders of PML-N will also hold discussions over upcoming elections in the South Asian country. During his stay in London, consultations would be also held regarding the return of Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan. Some sections of the media reported that the legal team of PML-N is likely to hold a meeting with Nawaz Sharif.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Interim Information Minister Murtaza Solangi said on Friday that the caretaker government was committed to providing “complete cooperation” to the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold transparent and impartial polls in the South Asian country. Addressing a post-cabinet meeting news conference, he began by affirming the commitment of the interim government to address the country’s challenges determinedly, alongside its devotion to upholding the principles of “free and fair” polls.
