KARACHI: Pakistan’s President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistanis had the potential to put the country on the path toward prosperity and development. The President expressed these remarks while addressing the 31st Convocation of the University of Karachi.
Highlighting the importance of education and innovation, Arif Alvi said that due to the rapid development in the field of science and technology, modern day human has explored the skies and attained successes.
President Urges Graduates for a Decisive Role
Alvi congratulated the graduating students and scholars and stressed on the impact of education and learning on society, adding that it is unfortunate that more than 20 million children are still out of school and termed it a matter of concern.
The President urged on the society to come forward and play their role to address these issues in the society. He urged for the promotion of moral and ethical values in school with joint collaboration of teachers, parents in a conducive environment. He also stressed upon the graduating students to play a specific role in the promotion of moral values.
Talking about the aggression and brutalities of Israeli brutalities in Gaza, Alvi asked the world to take measures to stop war in Gaza. Later the President, awarded medals to the graduating students and scholars.
