ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and damage to properties caused by rain-related incidents across the South Asian country. The President conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent rain, a statement issue by the President’s Office said. Asif Ali Zardari underscored the urgency of further accelerating relief efforts and operation to aid the affected people.
Zardari also called for the execution of precautionary steps to safeguard lives and prevent further rain-related tragedies in the country. The President also emphasized the significance of timely actions by the administration to ensure the effective drainage of rainwater and also mitigate the risks of future incidents.
In his prayers, President Zardari sought divine peace for the departed souls and also strength for the bereaved families to endure their loss.
