DOHA: Pakistan Prime Minister’s special assistant on overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Jawad Sohrab Malik, held a productive discussion with Qatar Education Minister Buthania Bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi on Saturday. The dialogue centered around various aspects of mutual cooperation and collaboration.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the vital role of educated women in contributing to the economy and society. They recognized the significance of empowering women through education and employment opportunities, acknowledging the positive impact on a nation’s overall development.
Qatar’s commitment to education, aligned with Vision 2030, aimed at enhancing educational quality and promoting lifelong learning, was highlighted.
Qatar’s Vision 2030 Aligns with Pakistan Skilled Development
Likewise, Pakistan expressed its interest in providing highly skilled and professional manpower, aligning with Qatar’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes human resource development and capacity building.
The SAPM proposed the introduction of an Arabic language training program to facilitate workers’ integration into Qatari culture.
The Minister of Education of Qatar, emphasized education as a fundamental pillar of the national development strategy and reiterated Qatar’s steadfast commitment to providing quality education and services. The consideration of the Arabic training program was welcomed as a positive step to enhance the workforce’s skill set in Qatar.
Furthermore, he also commended the Pakistan International School (PIS) and expressed ongoing support for the initiative to establish a separate Cambridge branch of PIS, recognizing the growing Pakistani community in Qatar. This move is anticipated to benefit the Pakistani diaspora and contribute to the realization of Qatar’s national Vision 2030.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to explore further opportunities for collaboration in the realms of education and human resource development, with a shared vision of fostering mutual growth and prosperity.
