ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to tackling climate change in partnership with international collaborators.

Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad today, alongside Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, Tarar emphasized that while Pakistan’s contribution to global carbon emissions is minimal, the country is disproportionately affected by the severe impacts of climate change.

Tarar stressed the need for grassroots awareness and public engagement in tree plantation initiatives to address climate issues effectively. He praised Romina Khurshid Alam for her efforts in fostering international cooperation to combat climate change.

In her remarks, Romina Khurshid Alam highlighted the significance of the $100 billion climate finance pledge by developed nations for supporting developing countries, calling it a crucial step in addressing global climate challenges.
