Pakistan Reaffirms Unflinching Support, Solidarity with Kashmiri People

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani nation observed Kashmir Solidarity Day on Sunday and expressed unflinching support for the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their legitimate right to self-determination under the UN resolutions.   

The day was also marked by exposing the worst oppression perpetrated by Indian occupational troops against Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Solidarity walks were organized in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Quetta, Sui, Chaman, Malakand, Buner, Peshawar, Swat, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Bakkar, Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and other cities and towns across the country.

Human chains were formed at Kohala and other important points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. A large number of students and citizens were present on this occasion who expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people. They reiterated that the freedom struggle would continue till the independence of Kashmir.

PM Shehbaz reaffirms support for Kashmiri people

While addressing the special session of the AJK Legislative in Muzaffarabad on Sunday, Pakistan Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated that government and people of Pakistan would continue to extend diplomatic, moral, and political support to their Kashmiri brothers and sisters till they get freedom from India’s unlawful and forcible occupation.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan has always emphasized a peaceful and just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue as per relevant United Nations Security Council’s (UNSC) resolutions and in accordance with the aspiration of the Kashmiri people.

The Prime Minister said our blood is the same, and every Pakistani pays a salute to the matchless sacrifices of the Hurriyat leaders and workers.

The Prime Minister said that India would never suppress the will of the Kashmiris by using brute force in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said India wants to change the demography of the IIOJK, but it will fail.

Hurriyat leader resolves to support Kashmir cause

Hurryait Leader Abdul Hameed Lone expressed commitment to stand with the people of occupied Kashmir and to support their legitimate demand for rights to self-determination. He said that Indian forces was oppressing Kashmiris and changing the disputed region’s demography.

He said that the Modi regime had imposed multiple sanctions and restrictions in the occupied valley under the draconian Public Safety Act.

Lone said that according to the resolution of the UNSC, the Kashmiris had the right to exercise the right to self-determination via plebiscite.

He said the people of occupied valley were forced to live under such circumstances that they even could not take breath freely.

CM Balochistan highlights Indian forces brutalities

Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Qudus Bizenjo said the Kashmiri people are fighting for freedom and their right to self-determination from the usurping Indian occupation. He said thousands of young men, children, elderly, and women had sacrificed their lives in the just struggle of Kashmir cause.

“The Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people for peace in the region, Chief Minister said.

Kashmir Solidarity Day was also observed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa amid protest rallies, walks, workshops, and seminars and supporting the freedom movement of the oppressed Kashmiri people.

The major function was held at Chief Minister House, in Peshawar. The function was attended by Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali, interim provincial ministers, government officials, students, politicians, and members of civil society, besides people of all walks of life.

KP government and people stand with Kashmiri brothers: CM

Addressing on the occasion, Caretaker Chief Minister Azam Khan said the people and government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were standing with the oppressed Kashmiri people of the occupied valley in their just struggle for self-determination. He promised to continue their political and moral support to Kashmiri people till they achieve their basic and legitimate right of self-determination.

He denounced the atrocities and human rights violations of the Indian troops against peaceful Kashmiris and demanded UN Security Council implement its resolutions by giving the right of self-determination to the oppressed Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, protest rallies and walks were held in all districts of KP, including seven merged tribal districts.

The civil society, transport, and students, among other segments of the society, organized rallies in front of the Peshawar Press Club and chanted slogans against India.

Rallies were also held in Mardan, Nowshera, Swat, DI Khan, Chital, Abbottabad, Swabi, Kohat, Dir, Haripur, Bannu, and other districts attended by a large number of people.

Protest rallies and walks were also held in various districts of Punjab and were participated by officials and staff of government departments, politicians, and students in large numbers. The participants were carrying banners inscribed with slogans against the atrocities and brutalities being committed by the Indian forces in held Kashmir were inscribed.
