ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have killed thirteen terrorists in five separate operations across northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province between 12 and 13 February 2025, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated in a press release on Thursday.
According to ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was carried out by security forces in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district following reports of the presence of Khwarij (a term used for terrorists of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terror group).
“During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideout, resulting in the killing of five terrorists, including ring leader Shah Gul, alias Rohani,” the ISPR statement said.
In two separate encounters in North Waziristan district, security forces exchanged fire with terrorists in the Dosali and Tappi areas, killing five terrorists, ISPR reported.
In another engagement in Lakki Marwat district, security forces killed two terrorists.
Separately, during an operation in the Bagh area of Khyber district, one more terrorist was eliminated, ISPR stated.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against security forces as well as the killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitisation operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. “Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country,” the military reiterated.
