ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has emphasized the solid and amicable relations between Pakistan and Iran, highlighting the depth of their diplomatic ties.

Foreign Office spokesperson on Thursday asserted that Pakistan maintains open channels of communication with all nations, including the United States, to address and combat the global challenge of terrorism collectively. This collaborative approach underscores Pakistan’s commitment to regional and international security.

Addressing the weekly press conference, she hoped for the peaceful use of Afghan territory, the spokesperson urged that Afghanistan’s land should not be exploited for activities against Pakistan’s interests. The statement reflects Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to maintain stability in the region.

Highlighting the existence of secure shelters within Afghanistan for refugees, the spokesperson emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations affected by conflict, particularly to protect them from terrorist threats.

The Foreign Office disclosed that Pakistan has actively raised the issue of terrorism emanating from Afghanistan in the United Nations Security Council, showcasing the country’s commitment to addressing the global challenge through diplomatic means.

Affirming Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism, the spokesperson emphasized the nation’s proactive stance in the fight against this menace.
