Pakistan Stock Exchange Continues Bullish Run, Closes at 56,523.58 Points

ISLAMABAD: The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday continued with bullish trend, gaining 1,132.21 points, a positive change of 2.04%, closing at 56,523.58 points against 55,391.37 points the previous trading day.

A total of 660,649,520 shares valuing 22.409 billion rupees were traded during the day, in contrast to 640,836,781 shares valuing 21.146 billion rupees the previous day.

In total, 385 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 220 of them witnessed gains, and 147 sustained losses, whereas the share price of eighteen companies remained unchanged.

Top three companies at the Pakistan Stock Exchange

The three top-trading companies were WorldCall Telecom, with 100,788,191 shares at 1.37 rupee per share; Cnergyico PK, with 60,730,540 shares at 4.70 rupee per share and Hum Network, with 32,478,500 shares at 7.25 rupee per share.

Rafhan Maize XD reported a maximum increase of 594.75 rupees per share price, closing at 8,524.75 rupees, whereas the runner-up was Nestle PakistanXD with 547.50 rupees rise in its per share price to 7,847.50 rupees.

Unilever Foods XD registered a maximum decrease of 1,400.00 rupees per share, closing at 22,000.00 rupees, followed by Sapphire Fiber, with a 30.00 rupees decline to close at 1,200.00 rupees.
