ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic efforts at all international forums to support the just struggle of the Kashmiri people till the realization of their right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
Addressing the special session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly through video link in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal, PM Shehbaz said the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on this day in 2019, the Indian government through illegal means usurped the fundamental rights of Kashmiri people by revoking Articles 370 and 35-A, ending the special status of Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Prime Minister said India allowed the illegal settlements in the occupied territory which badly affected millions of Kashmiri people.
PM Shehbaz reiterated that the day will come very soon when Kashmiri people will celebrate their independence.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris till they achieve their inalienable right to self-determination as enshrined in the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Talking about the atrocities being perpetrated by the occupation forces in the occupied territory, PM Shehbaz said the Indian government for the past seventy-seven years has been committing gross human rights violations which can not affect the spirit of self-determination of the brave Kashmiri people.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said sacrifices of the Kashmiris will never go in vain. He paid rich tribute to the leadership of the Kashmiris who have been facing the cruelties and atrocities of Indian occupation forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The Prime Minister also paid glowing tribute to the political leadership of Azad Jammu and Kashmir who kept on raising their voice for freedom of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
PM Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmir Cause and to continue highlighting the plight of innocent Kashmiri people at all forums.
Turning to the current situation in Palestine, the Prime Minister said Israel is targeting innocent Palestinian people on a daily basis in Gaza and even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not respect the ruling and opinion of the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
PM Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the killing of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The Prime Minister also condemned the arrest of the Imam of Al Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli forces.
