Pakistan to Ring in 2025 with Fireworks Shows

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan like other parts of the world will be celebrating new year with hopes for a more prosperous future and grand displays of fireworks in all major cities of the country.

In Pakistan’s commercial hub, Karachi, a grand display of fireworks will be arranged at the Governor’s House. Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced grand fireworks display at the Governor’s House to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, ProPakistan reported.

Open House

The event, set for December 31, will include public participation, as all five gates of the Governor’s House will be open to visitors.

“We want to share the joy of the new year with everyone,” Governor Tessori stated, emphasising the importance of unity and collective celebration.

Governor Tessori expressed his hopes for 2025, wishing for peace, security, stability, economic growth, and welfare for the people of Pakistan.

A visual treat

The grand fireworks display is expected to be a visual treat, attracting residents of Karachi and beyond to mark the beginning of the new year with festivity and joy.

The Karachi Traffic Police on Monday issued the traffic plan for the metropolis for New Year’s Eve, Dawn reported.

The traffic instructions issued instructed the residents of the diverted areas to “keep their original identity documents with them, explaining that they would be allowed to proceed upon showing them.”

It further said that heavy traffic would also not be allowed to enter the city from 6pm till the normalisation of traffic.

The plan also warned of action against vehicles and motorcycles without silencers as well as reckless drivers.

Shows planned

In the cities of Peshawar, Islamabad,  and Quetta, various fireworks shows have been planned under government and private sector auspices. Concerts and other events will also take place in all major cities across the country on New Year’s Eve.
