KARACHI: Pakistan will unveil its defence innovation and cutting-edge defence technologies at the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024), to be held at the Karachi Expo Centre from November 19 to 22, 2024.
This mega event will be organized by the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), under the Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP).
Director Media DEPO, Commodore Aitazaz Khalid told media, “IDEAS 2024 aims to showcase the country’s defence capabilities and innovation.”
He said the event will showcase the latest advancements in defence production and exports, underscoring the nation’s growing emphasis on innovation and research in its defence industry.
He said that more than 550 national and international defence exhibitors would display their products during the EXPO 2024.
“Around 350 delegates from 55 countries will visit Pakistan to attend the mega event aimed to showcase Pakistan’s defence innovation”, he further stated.
This event will also attract high-level delegations, including defence analysts, policymakers, and international exhibitors.
“A special tri-services show will take place at Nishan-e-Pakistan seaview Karachi on 21 November 2024”, according to Director Media DEPO.
IDEAS 2024 has been prioritized by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to further boost Pakistan’s defence exports and global collaboration opportunities, PTV news reported.
