ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan-Turkiye Joint Exercise “ATTATURK-XII 2023” opening ceremony was held on Monday at Tarbella.
A statement issued by ISPR said that the opening ceremony started with the national anthems of both countries. Troops from the Turkish special force and Pakistan Special Services Group ( SSG) are participating in the exercise.
Exercise aims to enhance counter-terrorism techniques
The two-week-long exercise aims to enhance counter-terrorism techniques. The exercise will focus on cave clearance, compound clearance, sniper training, counter-Improvised Explosive Devices(IED) training, and combat medical care.
The joint exercise will enhance and further strengthen military ties between the countries and share Pakistan Army’s experience in the war against terrorism.
