ISLAMABAD: In a welcomed relief for the residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad the twin cities saw a gradual light rainfall following a period of fog and poor air quality on Friday morning.
The light rain began at around 6 AM, making its presence felt in numerous commercial and residential areas in both Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The occurrence is expected to have a positive impact on the air quality in Pakistan’s capital city.
The rainfall today is anticipated to result in clearer skies and a decrease in fog, which had previously caused travel difficulties due to low visibility in key areas of both cities.
Pakistan Meteorological Department had previously forecast rain in Islamabad and snowfall on the scenic Murree hills, offering a promising conclusion to the prolonged dry winter period.
The Meteorological Department also highlighted optimism that the forecast brings hope to various cities, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, in their efforts to address dry weather conditions.
