Pakistan, UK Agree to Boost Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

LONDON: Pakistan and the UK have agreed to strengthen cooperation to combat the menace of terrorism.

The consensus was reached during a meeting between Interior Minister of Pakistan Mohsin Naqvi and British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Hamish Falconer in London Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohisn Naqvi said that Pakistan is a victim of terrorism and its security forces have rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

He added the collective efforts to curb the menace of terrorism will prove result-oriented. Mohsin Naqvi further added that the second phase of repatriation of Afghan refugees will be started soon.

He said that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation and wants good and cordial ties in the region.

British Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Hamish Falconer in his remarks said the United Kingdom has acknowledged the unprecedented sacrifices Pakistan rendered in war against terror.
