Pakistan, UN to Co-host Global Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan in Geneva

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilalwal Bhutto Zardari called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday and apprised him about the preparations for the upcoming Climate Resilient Pakistan conference to be held in Geneva on January 9, 2023.

The Conference will be co-hosted by the Government of Pakistan and the United Nations in Geneva.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar were also present on the occasion.

Climate Resilient Conference

The prime minister and the federal ministers discussed the matters and challenges pertaining to climate change. Bilawal Bhutto also briefed the prime minister about his visit to the United States (US).

The conference will take officials from other governments, leaders from the public and private sectors and civil society members under one roof to assist the masses and the government of Pakistan following the devastating floods of 2022.
