DUBAI: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, has reiterated Pakistan’s demand for an immediate end to “Israel’s senseless violence and aggression against the Palestinians.”

In an interview with an international news channel, Prime Minister Kakar stressed the need for a two-state solution to the Palestine issue, based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinian state.

The prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s active role, alongside Saudi Arabia and other countries within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), in calling for an immediate cessation of violence, aggression against Palestinians, and the establishment of a humanitarian corridor.

To a question, Prime Minister Kakar acknowledged Pakistan’s responsibility toward refugees hosted in the country for the past 50 years but emphasized the need to rationalize and regulate the movement of over a million undocumented and illegal aliens.

Pakistan Desires Peaceful Resolution of Kashmir Issue

Regarding the Jammu and Kashmir issue, Kakar stated that the issue has remained unresolved for seven decades. “It is an integral part of Pakistan, and it needs to be resolved according to the UN Security Council resolutions,” he said. He expressed Pakistan’s desire for peace and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue while calling for reciprocal actions from Indian authorities.
