Pakistan, US Navies Conduct Joint Naval Drill in Arabian Sea: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and US navies have conducted a joint exercise in the Arabian Sea, a military statement said on Sunday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the US Navy ship USS O’kane and Pakistan Navy Ship Babur participated in the naval exercise.  Various naval operations were demonstrated during the exercise.

Meanwhile, the commanding officer of the US Navy ship participating in the exercise also met with Commander Pakistan Navy Fleet Rear Admiral Abdul Munib.

ISPR in the statement said these naval drills are a manifestation of the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

The visit of the US Navy Ship also shows deep-rooted bilateral ties between both the navies in general and nations in particular.

The statement said the Pakistan Navy is ready to deal with all kinds of conventional and non-conventional challenges in the region.
