RIYADH: Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with his Vietnamese counterpart, Pham Minh Chinh, on Wednesday, expressing Pakistan’s intention to strengthen ties with Vietnam and emphasizing the significant potential for enhanced trade and investment cooperation between the two nations.
During their discussion on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, the leaders explored ways to bolster bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.

Prime Minister Shehbaz suggested facilitating the exchange of trade and business delegations to further tap into these opportunities.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing people-to-people connections and promoting tourism between Pakistan and Vietnam.
Acknowledging Vietnam’s influential role in the ASEAN region, Prime Minister Shehbaz sought support for Pakistan’s bid to become a full dialogue partner of ASEAN. He also extended an invitation for the Vietnamese prime minister to make an official visit to Pakistan.
