Pakistan vs India: Rain Delays Toss for High-Voltage T20I World Cup Clash

NEW YORK: The toss for the high-voltage match between Pakistan and India has been delayed due to ongoing rain at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.

The match was supposed to start at 10:30 am, with live broadcasts at 2:30 pm GMT, 7:30 pm PST, and 8:00 pm IST but that too is likely to be delayed as well as the rain in New York is continuing with gaps.

As per BBC Weather, it was reported that the rain in New York would begin around 9:00 am local and would continue for the time being.

The Nassau Cricket Stadium pitch, where the showdown is set to take place, is currently blanketed under protective covers as ground staff diligently work to shield the playing surface from the deluge.

The match, dubbed the “mother of all clashes,” is crucial for both teams. Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, is desperate for a win following a shocking loss to the United States in their tournament opener. India, under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, will secure a spot in the Super 8 with a victory, having already defeated Ireland in their first match.
