AUCKLAND: The trophy for the Pakistan vs New Zealand T20 series has been unveiled at Auckland, local media reported on Thursday.  The presentation ceremony of the 5-match T20 series trophy between Pakistan and New Zealand was held in Auckland. Both team captains, Shahin Shah Afridi of Pakistan and Kane Williamson of New Zealand, participated in the event, creating memorable images alongside the trophy.

The series will commence tomorrow with the inaugural match in Auckland. According to Pakistani time, the match is set to kick off at 11 AM. The second match is scheduled for January 14th in Hamilton. The third match will be played in Dunedin on January 17th, while the last two matches will take place in Christchurch on January 19th and 21st.

The national team of Pakistan is undergoing rigorous training ahead of the series, engaging in consecutive practice sessions. Upon their arrival in New Zealand, the Pakistani team was traditionally welcomed. It should be noted that Shaheen Shah Afridi is leading as the T20 captain for the first time. Pakistan last won a series against New Zealand in 2018, whereas New Zealand emerged victorious in 2020.

However, there are circulating rumors on social media that former captain Babar Azam will bat at number 3, with wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan opening alongside Saim Ayub. The aggressive Fakhar Zaman is pleased to be batting at number 4. Azam Khan has been included in the 11-member team and will play as a wicketkeeper.
