Pakistan Women stun India by 14 runs in T20 Women’s Asia Cup

Sylhet (Bangladesh): Pakistan women defeated traditional foes India by 14 runs in the T20 Women’s Asia Cup 2022 at Sylhet Bangladesh on Friday and kept their hopes alive to reach in the semifinals stage of the regional cricket showpiece.

Pakistani skipper Misbah Mahroof decided to bat first after winning an important toss. Pakistan managed 137 for 6 runs on the board with the brilliant knock of 56 runs by Nida Dar, as she lasted just 37 balls and hit four boundaries and one six. Captain Marhroof played a responsible innings of 32 (35 balls) was much supportive for the team, as Pakistan had thrown their earlier wickets at a low total. Muneeba contributed 17 runs. Deepti Sharma (3 for 37), Pooja Vastrakar (2 for 23) and Renuka Singh (1 for 24) were the wicket taker bowlers of India.

Nashra Sandhu (3 for 30), Sadia Iqbal (2 for 24) and Nida Dar (2 for 23) restricted Indian batter at 123 runs, as they were 14 runs behind the target of 138 runs in 20 overs.
