Pakistan Women’s Cricket: 23 Players Shortlisted for T20 Tri-Series

LAHORE: The Women’s National Selection Committee, led by Saleem Jaffar, has announced a list of 23 potential players for the upcoming T20 tri-series in Cox’s Bazar, involving Sri Lanka and hosts Bangladesh.

The T20 tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with each participating team playing four matches. The top two teams will then compete in the final on February 2.

Out of the 23 potential players, six – Anosha Nasir, Eyman Fatima, Laiba Nasir, Mahnoor Aftab, Rida Aslam, and Zaib-un-Nisa – have prior experience, having represented Pakistan in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa last year.

The final 15-player squad will be announced during the camp scheduled from January 10 to 18 at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi. The nine-day camp will feature training sessions and practice T20 matches.
