DAMBULLA: Pakistan’s women cricketers displayed a dominant performance as they secured a commanding ten-wicket win over United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their Women’s Asia Cup T20 2024 encounter at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Tuesday.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, Pakistan’s bowlers asserted early control over the game by restricting UAE to 103-8 in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Pakistan chased down the target with ease, reaching 107 without loss in just 14.1 overs, showcasing their dominance with 35 balls to spare. This victory significantly enhances Pakistan Women’s prospects of advancing to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The foundation for Pakistan’s resounding victory was laid by their openers Gul Feroza and Muneeba Ali, who continued their exceptional form from the previous matches. The duo stitched together an unbeaten partnership of 107 runs, marking their second consecutive century partnership in the tournament following their 105-run stand against Nepal earlier.
