LEEDS: Pakistan women’s squad on Sunday held a casual meeting with the national men’s cricket team in a meet and greet event at a hotel in Leeds, England.

The meet and greet event saw members of the women’s squad interacting with key figures from the men’s team, including Captain Babar Azam, Senior Manager Wahab Riaz, and star pacer Shaheen Afridi.

The occasion served as an opportunity for the men’s team to extend their best wishes to the women’s squad for their upcoming fixtures in England. As Pakistan’s women’s cricket team gears up to face England in the 3rd T20I match at Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, the encouragement and support from the men’s team provided a morale boost.

Pakistan men’s team is scheduled to play a four-match T20I series against England, set to commence at the Headingley Cricket Ground on May 22.

England women secured victory over Pakistan in the second T20I match, clinching the series with a 2-0 lead. Despite a valiant effort from the Pakistani bowlers, England’s formidable batting lineup managed to post a challenging total of 144-6 in their innings.

In response, Pakistan faltered in their chase, ultimately falling short by 65 runs as they were bundled out for 79 runs in 15.5 overs. England’s spinners, led by Sophie Ecclestone and Alice Capsey, wreaked havoc on the Pakistani batting order, claiming crucial wickets to seal the victory for their team. Capsey’s all-round performance earned her the title of Player of the Match.
