KARACHI: Pakistani renowned actress Sonya Hussain has said that women are not given due respect in the society and a very few people know how to talk in the presence of girls.
Sonya Hussain in an interview, said, women are not given the respect they deserve and many are unaware of what should be discussed in the girls’ presence.
The actress also discussed about her choice to refrain from marrying again after the failure of her first marriage.
She shared insights into the lack of interest in marrying again and stated that she often faces questions about her marital status.
Hussain said that she feels disconnected from the societal values prevalent in her community stressing the apparent class distinctions, deficit in behaviors and fundamental moral values among people.
Furthermore, she pointed out that contemporary society often ignores respect to elders.
The Actor went on to say that she cannot accept those things because she has come from a different perspective. Sonya Hussain was confident that nothing could affect her unless she sees good qualities and a gentle attitude among people.
