Pakistani Ambassador For Strengthening Trade and Cultural Ties in Pingdingshan

BEIJING, China: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, recently visited Pingdingshan city in Henan province, central China, to bolster trade and investment relations between the two countries.

During his visit, Ambassador Hashmi held a productive meeting with Li Mingjun, Mayor of Pingdingshan. They discussed various matters of mutual interest and agreed on the importance of ongoing interactions to strengthen bilateral ties.

Ambassador Hashmi also engaged with local organizations and enterprises, visiting prominent companies in the electronics, nylon, and automotive sectors. This interaction aimed to explore potential collaborations and investment opportunities.

At the unveiling ceremony of the dual degree program with the coal mining school of Pingdingshan Polytechnic College, Ambassador Hashmi emphasized the importance of enhancing technical, vocational education, and training to boost productive capacities.

Additionally, he expressed his appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Pingdingshan, which includes iconic Ru porcelain. He visited museums and historic sites in the city and nearby counties, highlighting the region’s significant cultural and historical treasures.

Henan province, renowned for its coal resources, mining industry, and nylon production, provided a backdrop for these discussions and explorations. Ambassador Hashmi was accompanied by Commercial Counselor Ghulam Qadir and other senior officials during his visit, underscoring the importance of these high-level engagements in fostering stronger bilateral relations.
