Pakistani Delegation to Explore UK Market for Handcrafted Furniture

LAHORE: A high-level delegation from the Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) is scheduled to depart for the UK on March 15 with the primary objective is to explore promising market opportunities for exporting Pakistan’s exceptional handmade engraved furniture.

Mian Kashif Ashfaq, the Chief Operating Officer of the Council, announced this during a meeting with a delegation of furniture exporters led by Muhammad Araib on Monday. He said that this initiative represents a significant stride towards showcasing Pakistan’s rich craftsmanship and heritage on a global stage.

Ashfaq highlighted the renowned status of Pakistan’s handmade engraved furniture, renowned for its intricate designs, meticulous detailing, and utilization of premium quality materials, which reflect centuries-old traditions passed down through generations of skilled artisans.

He stressed that venturing into the UK market not only aims to capitalize on the increasing demand for distinctive and artisanal furniture but also aims to foster cultural exchange and bolster bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and the UK.

The delegation intends to achieve these objectives through a series of meetings, exhibitions, and networking events. Their agenda includes forging partnerships, establishing distribution channels, and raising awareness about the unparalleled craftsmanship and artistic legacy of Pakistani furniture.
