WASHINGTON: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that there were no restrictions on press freedom and that the “establishment” of the nation was not involved in any unfortunate incident related to media suppression or restriction.
The COAS was speaking during a special event organized by a Washington based think-tank at the home of the Pakistani ambassador. General Bajwa dispelled the perception that Pakistani establishment wascomplicit in the abuse of journalists or in curtailing freedom of press in the country
