ISLAMABAD: After fighting the pandemic for three years, China reopened to the world, but some countries have imposed discriminatory restrictions on Chinese travellers.
Despite China taking strict measures to combat the pandemic or easing policies according to changing circumstances, the West continues to slam China. An Islamabad-based broadcast journalist and communication expert, Yasir Masood, said this reflects the bias of the Western countries.
Chinese govt’s efforts to combat pandemic
Masood said the United States (US) has been leading attempts to smear China. Reports from the international media seem to forsake China’s efforts to help deal with the global health crisis.
Yasir Masood said that China took several steps in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, from protecting Chinese nationals to providing aid to countries in need.
“These kinds of narratives would not do any good to global peace,” the journalist said. He stressed that people should understand and realize the realities.
