Islamabad: Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar has expressed his happiness as his mother Kanwal Ameen received precarious Sitara-e-Imtiaz on Pakistan Day for her services in education.
Zafar, in a post on social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter, said his heart swells with pride for being the son of a woman who has dedicated her whole life to education and made countless sacrifices in this regard.
Kanwal Ameen, who is a former vice chancellor of the Home Economics University, acknowledged the civil honour by saying she is indebted and grateful to Allah for this grand moment in life while thanking Pakistan for all the opportunities.
She prayed for the prosperity of Pakistan and also thanked her family for supporting her always.
