BEIJING: Pakistani mangoes, due to their unique flavour, out-stood the products from around the world showcased in Xinjiang, China, at the 2023 Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo.

Various Pakistani mango varieties from Multan, Punjab, such as Anwar Ratol, Sindhri, Chaunsa, and so on, caught visitors’ attention on site.

The China Economic Net (CEN) discovered that 12 vendors sent 30 tonnes of mangoes to the expo to establish a specialized market in Xinjiang and possibly a wider region this year.

Additionally, buyers can order these Pakistani mangoes online and have them delivered right to their houses. Customers can place online purchases for Pakistani mangoes, currently featured at the Pakistan Online National Pavilion on JD.com (Jingdong), the largest e-commerce site in China.

The 5-day trade promotion-focused event, scheduled to run from August 17 to August 21, began in Urumqi, the capital of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. It is important to note that the Pakistan Mango Festival parallels the expo from August 17 to August 21.

According to the event’s organizers, this year’s expo, which has a 70,000 square meter exhibition space with a theme of “Promoting the Silk Road Spirit, Strengthening Eurasian Cooperation,” attracted over 1,300 enterprises from 40 different countries and regions, including 25 of the world’s top 500 corporations. —APP
