Pakistani Movie ‘Nayab’ Wins Big at Cannes Film Festival

PARIS: Pakistani movie ‘Nayab’ featuring, Yumna Zaidi has won major awards at the Cannes film festival in France.

The film at the World Film Festival grabbed the awards of “Best Foreign Film” and “Best First-Time Filmmaker” in the feature film category.

Usman Khan also acted with excellence in the movie which made a historic milestone for Pakistan’s entertainment industry.

Yumna Zaisi shared images of the triumph on her Instagram account. Alongside the pictures, the star congratulated the cast and the people affiliated with the film.

The actor then individually tagged all those to whom she wished to convey her regards for the enormous win.

Nayab is a sports drama that provides a complex examination of the human spirit in the face of the socioeconomic difficulties of Karachi.

The story of the movie revolves around Yumna’s character Nayab, a teenage cricket lover who wants to follow her passion for the game despite family and social obstacles.

She manages to enroll in a cricket camp with the support of her older brother against the hardships of the middle class.

The director of the family has created a story that digs into the fallout from stressful circumstances in Karachi.
