Pakistani PM Offers Condolences to Spain Over Loss of Lives in Floods

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deepest sympathies and solidarity with the people of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez following the tragic loss of lives due to floods.

“On behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the people of Spain and Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in light of the devastating floods. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected,” the Prime Minister shared on his X handle.

He said that Pakistan stands with the friendly people of Spain during this challenging time.

According to foreign media reports, at least 62 people have lost their lives in the severe flash flooding that impacted southern and eastern Spain.

The torrential rains resulted in widespread flooding across various regions, including the cities of Valencia and Malaga, on Tuesday.
