Pakistani Poet Releases Song on 52nd UAE National Day

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani poet on Saturday released a national song on the 52nd national day of United Arab Emirates (UAE) exclusively as a gift from Pakistani nation to their brethren in UAE.

Renowned poet, Shahab-udin-Shahab wrote and composed the song on the UAE national day.

It is pertinent to mention that UAE Embassy and Consulates in Pakistan every year conduct different activities to mark the auspicious occasion.

UAE National Day is observed on December 2 each year in the United Arab Emirates. It marks the UAE independence from British rule back in 1971.

Pakistan-UAE ties date back to the UAE’s formation in 1971, and have since been evolved into wide-ranging co-operation in different areas. Pakistan was the first state in the world to recognize the United Arab Emirates.

UAE one of the largest investors in Pakistan

UAE is one of the largest investors in Pakistan while the bilateral trade has been growing over the past years and people-to-people contacts are constantly on the rise.

The founder of UAE Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was keen to give an impetus to the bilateral ties between the two friendly states from the very beginning.

There are about 1.6 million Pakistani expatriates working in UAE who are playing a vital role for the development of the UAE and contributing a lot through their remittances to the economy of Pakistan.

The UAE Pakistan Assistance Program was started in January 2011 at a total cost of US$450 million for the reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by devastating floods and natural calamities in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, to provide better life to the people by creating jobs.

The leaders of UAE have always stood first to help the people of Pakistan in times of crisis caused by natural calamities.

Time and again, UAE government reiterated its support to Pakistan to help overcome its macro-economic difficulties.

The visionary leaders of UAE President Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum have adopted the “Principles of the 50” as guidelines for a new phase of growth and development over the next 50 years.
