Pakistani President Visits Palestine Embassy, Expresses Solidarity with Oppressed Nation

ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi on Thursday visited embassy of Palestine in Islamabad and expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine who were being subjected to indiscriminate massacre by Israel.

According to a press release he called upon the international community to condemn Israel’s brutalities and its disproportionate reaction that resulted in killing of thousands of innocent people.

He stressed for an immediate ceasefire and the opening up of a humanitarian corridor to provide aid to the people facing shortage of food, electricity, and water.

The President also met the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Islamabad, Ahmed Jawad Rabei, and expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine on behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan.

Pakistan continues to support Palestine cause

He added that Pakistan would always support the Palestine cause.

The President said that the United Nations should discuss the atrocities that happened in Palestine, and the UNSC should adopt a resolution to stop Israeli atrocities. He said that such brutal acts created hatred leading to more conflicts adding that OIC should raise a strong voice in support of Palestine.

He stated that on behalf of the Pakistani people, we condemn the atrocities happening in Gaza, the disproportionate reaction of Israel, and the apartheid for the last 30-40 years.

While condemning the bombing at a hospital in Gaza that killed 500 people, he said all this creates more bitterness.

The President underscored that war completely destroyed any possibility of peace, adding that walls were being raised to stop the Palestinian people from trying to achieve a peaceful two-state solution.

He said that such walls would be breached by the people adding that as long as a two-state solution is being suppressed, people will react.

The Palestinian Ambassador thanked the President of Pakistan for visiting the Embassy of Palestine during these difficult times. He said Israel’s actions in Gaza amount to a genocide of the Palestinian people.

Earlier, the President recorded his views in the condolence book in the Palestinian embassy and offered his deep condolences with the people of Palestine and the families of the martyrs, who lost their lives in the brutal Israeli attacks.
