Pakistani Religious-Political Leader Holds Meeting with Imam-e-Kaaba

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Sami) Chairman Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq Haqqani met with Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Hamid who is also the Deputy Head of Darul Uloom Haqqania, welcomed Imam-e-Kaaba in Pakistan, highlighting the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Both leaders lauded the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid during the meeting appreciated the services of Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, the late leader of the party and conveyed his condolences.

He lauded Maulana Sami-ul-Haq’s longstanding friendship and prayed for elevated ranks hereafter.

During the meeting, special prayer was offered for the oppressed Muslims across the world, especially for the Palestinians.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Maulana Rashid-ul-Haq Sami and International Religious Council for Religious Affairs President Muhammad Israr Madani were also present on the occasion.

Earlier Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid arrived in Islamabad for a four-day visit aimed at strengthening the close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Federal Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, Federal Minister for Education Madad Ali Sindhi, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, and other prominent figures welcomed upon his arrival.

Imam-e-Kaaba is scheduled to lead the Friday Prayer at the iconic Faisal Mosque, a momentous occasion eagerly awaited by the local Muslim community.
