Pakistani Rupee Declines by 32 Paisa Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: After getting an appreciation of 40 paisa on Friday, the Pakistani Rupee on Monday witnessed a depreciation of 33 paisa against the American Dollar in the interbank trading to settle at Rs 279.12 as compared to Rs 278.80 on Friday as reported by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Meanwhile, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the Dollar in the open market also witnessed a little depreciation and were observed in the range of Rs 280.25 and Rs 283 as compared to the previous day range of Rs280 and Rs277 respectively. 

Pakistani Rupee Against Riyal, Euro, Pound, and Others

Like the greenback, the price of the Euro also witnessed appreciation against the local currency and went up by 82 paisa to settle at Rs296.06 as compared to Rs 295.24 the previous day, as reported by SBP.

Like the Euro, the Japanese Yen increased by 01 paisa to close at Rs 1.86, whereas the British Pound experienced an increase of Rs 1.93 in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs339.81 against Rs337.88 on Friday.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal also went up by 08 and 09 paisa to close at Rs 74.40 and Rs 75.99, respectively.
