ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate of the Pakistani rupee strengthened by Rs 2.10 against the American dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday, while closing at Rs 267.34 as compared to Rs 269.44 on Monday.
As per reports of the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the U.S dollar in the open market were witnessed at Rs. 271 and Rs. 274, respectively.
Pakistani Rupee against other currencies
The price of the euro went down by 42 paisa, and closed at Rs 286.99 as compared to Rs 287.41 on the previous day’s closing, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Meanwhile, the Japanese yen witnessed a loss of one paisa to close at Rs 2.03, while the British pound experienced an increase of 47 paisa in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs 324.80 against Rs 324.33 on Monday.
The exchange rates of the Emirates dirham and Saudi riyal appreciated by 57 paisa each to close at Rs 72.78 and Rs 71.24 respectively.
