Pakistani Rupee Remains Stable against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee maintained its stability against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday, closing at the same rate as the previous day, which stood at Rs 286.73. However, in the open market, the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP) reported buying and selling rates of dollars at Rs 289 and Rs 291.5 respectively.

Meanwhile, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) disclosed that the price of the Euro experienced a decline of Rs3.51, closing at Rs 311.66 compared to the previous day’s closing rate of Rs 315.17.

In other currency developments, the Japanese Yen lost one paisa, closing at Rs 2, while the exchange rate of the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 1.45, trading at Rs 364.59 as compared to its previous day’s closing rate of Rs 366.04.

On the other hand, the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal remained unchanged, closing at Rs 78.06 and Rs 76.43 respectively.

These fluctuations in currency rates play a significant role in the economic landscape of Pakistan, impacting various sectors and the purchasing power of individuals and businesses alike.
