ISLAMABAD: Pakistani singer Aima Baig has warned her fans about a fake Snapchat account operating under her name. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Baig shared a screenshot of the fake account, expressing surprise that some persons have mistaken it for her authentic profile.

In an Instagram story posted recently, Baig clarified that she does not have a presence on Snapchat and has no intention of creating an account on the platform in the future. She described Snapchat as an unsuitable app for her and urged her followers to be vigilant against the deceptive account.

“I find it very inappropriate to have a Snapchat account,” Baig stated firmly, addressing her fans directly through the Instagram story. She emphasized her stance on not using Snapchat and expressed disbelief that people would trust unverified accounts to the extent of making transactions through them.

Baig highlighted concerns over fraudulent activities associated with the impersonating account, although specific details about the incidents were not disclosed in her message.

The singer’s alert underscores the importance of verifying social media accounts to prevent falling victim to scams. Baig’s statement serves as a reminder for her followers to exercise caution online and to rely only on verified profiles associated with her official social media platforms.
