ISLAMABAD: After the second consignment was sent in November, a special military aircraft from Pakistan, carrying 20 tons of assistance and medical aid for the brothers and sisters of Palestine in Gaza, arrived at El-Arish International Airport, Egypt, on Tuesday.

The aid included essential items like surgical and medical supplies, dry food items, and special gifts for children. Soon after the arrival, the officials of the Embassy of Pakistan in Egypt handed over the aid to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society for its onward dispatch to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza.

Pakistan has delivered over 200 tons of humanitarian and medical assistance to the people of Gaza in three consignments during the last couple of months. Pakistan would continue the delivery of relief assistance to Palestine in the future as well.

Pakistan Supports Palestine Cause

Earlier last day, while talking to the media at Noor Khan Airbase, Islamabad, during the dispatch of the aid, the Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani stressed the immediate help and assistance of the Palestinian people on humanitarian grounds. He also condemned the brutality of Israel and the usage of force in the area and demanded a just solution to the issue with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

The minister reiterated Pakistan’s full support to the people of Palestine in Gaza and announced that more humanitarian aid would be arranged for the affected people of the war-torn area.
