ISLAMABAD: Sufyan Mehsud, the 5-year-old martial arts prodigy from Dera Ismail Khan who recently set a Guinness World Record, was honored with a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The young martial artist, who surpassed India’s record in his field, was congratulated by the Prime Minister for his exceptional achievement.
Prime Minister Sharif praised Sufyan Mehsud for his remarkable accomplishment at such a young age, highlighting the pride and recognition he has brought to Pakistan. “Sufyan Mehsud has brought laurels to the country by setting the world record,” PM Shehbaz said.
Sufyan’s father, Irfan Mehsud, a former South Waziristan resident who migrated to Dera Ismail Khan in 2014 during the military operation, now runs a martial arts academy for youth in the area. Irfan, who holds over 100 world records himself, is also an MBA in finance.
Earlier on August 22, in his felicitation message, PM Shehbaz had said Sufiyan Mehsud has brought laurels to the country by setting the world record at such an early age.
The Prime Minister said talented children like Sufiyan are guarantors of Pakistan’s bright future.
