Pakistan’s Ambassador Visits Chinese Companies to Explores Investment Opportunities

BEIJING: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi visited the Chengdu-based Fortune 500 company New Hope, where he met with Vice President Zhuang Shuai.

The ambassador highlighted compelling investment and trade opportunities for Chinese investors in Pakistan, emphasizing the recently signed protocol enabling the export of Pakistani dairy products to China.

In a separate meeting, Ambassador Hashmi engaged with Chen Changwei, Chairman of Puji Group. The group, known for cultivating dry chilies in Pakistan, is actively involved in exporting them. The discussions involved a review of current collaborations and future plans between the two entities.

During his visit to Chengdu, Ambassador Hashmi also took the opportunity to meet with Pakistani students, businessmen, and professionals.

He expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, emphasizing the crucial role of the Pakistani diaspora in advancing economic, technological, and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China.
