Pakistan’s Army Chief, Belarus PM Discuss Defence Cooperation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M) has met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko and discussed ways to boost defence cooperation, a military statement said on Tuesday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, discussions were held on regional dynamics and the enhancement of bilateral security and defence cooperation between the two nations.

“COAS reaffirmed Pakistan’s appreciation for Belarus’s contributions to global and regional affairs and expressed the desire to further strengthen the military partnership between both countries,” said the statement.

The ISPR added Prime Minister Golovchenko commended the Pakistan Armed Forces for their pivotal role in promoting regional peace and stability, and acknowledged their professionalism and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
