DUBAI: Pakistan’s star cricketers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have retained their positions in the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings despite Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the recent T20 World Cup. Babar holds the fourth spot with 755 rating points, while Rizwan is closely behind in fifth with 746 points.

Meanwhile, Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has made significant strides in the rankings. His impressive unbeaten 93 off 53 balls during India’s dominant victory over Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I has propelled him up four places to the sixth position, now holding 743 rating points.

Travis Head of Australia remains at the top of the batting charts, with India’s Suryakumar Yadav in second place. Another Indian rising star, Shubman Gill, who was the leading run-scorer in the series against Zimbabwe, has climbed 36 places to 37th in the rankings after amassing 170 runs from five innings. Gill’s performance has made him the fourth highest-ranked player from India, surpassing the recently retired duo Rohit Sharma (42nd) and Virat Kohli (51st).

On the bowling front, Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani has made notable progress, moving up 11 places to 44th overall following his six wickets against India. Indian bowlers Washington Sundar and Mukesh Kumar have also shown significant improvement, with Sundar jumping 36 spots to 46th and Kumar rising 21 places to 73rd.

England spinner Adil Rashid retains his No.1 spot for T20I bowlers, while Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga continues to lead the all-rounders’ list. Zimbabwe’s veteran Sikandar Raza has climbed to third place in the all-rounders’ rankings after his commendable efforts with both bat and ball against India.

For Pakistan, left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi has made a notable jump in the rankings, moving up three spots to 14th with 623 rating points. His compatriots Haris Rauf and Imad Wasim have maintained their positions at 28th and 32nd, with 583 and 563 rating points respectively.

There have also been significant movements in the Test rankings. England players have made substantial climbs following their performances against the West Indies at Lord’s. Harry Brook has advanced three places to seventh, just behind No.1 ranked Kiwi Kane Williamson. Top-order batters Zak Crawley and Ollie Pope have also moved up three places each, to 13th and 29th respectively, after their notable scores in the series.

Additionally, two England debutants at Lord’s have made impressive entries into the rankings. Wicket-keeper Jamie Smith has entered the batting rankings at 75th after scoring a half-century against the West Indies, while pacer Gus Atkinson has come in at 52nd in the Test bowlers’ list following his remarkable 12-wicket haul on debut.
