Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Reposes Confidence in Youth to Realize Dr Allama Iqbal’s Dream

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has asked the nation to struggle day and night to achieve Dr Allama Iqbal’s conceived Pakistan and reposed his complete confidence in the capabilities and potentials of the nation, especially youth who he said would come to the expectations of Dr Allama Iqbal.

PM Kakar said Dr Allama Iqbal had dreamt of a country ‘Pakistan which should be based upon peace, brotherhood and political tolerance’, saying the youth of Pakistan have to play their key role by serving the country and the nation with their progressive and positive thoughts.

In Dr Allama Iqbal’s Pakistan, the institutions must be strengthened, citizens should be self-conscious and the country’s economy be stabilized, so that the nation could be free from the chains of foreign debts, the Prime Minister said.

In a message on Iqbal’s 146th birthday being observed today, PM Kakar said that he along with the entire nation are celebrating his birthday with great admiration and honour. The PM said Dr Allama Iqbal had made the youth of the sub-continent aware of the lost heritage of unparalleled sacrifices of their ancestors, their great contributions in every sector of life, their progressiveness, prestige, and thinking.

He added that Allama Iqbal had guided the youth of sub-continent with messages of hope, bravery, self-confidence, and leading lives of dervish. By apprising them with the bright past of the Muslims, Dr Allama Iqbal encouraged and also advised the youth of the sub-continent to move forward by getting knowledge and conducting research and innovation and by undergoing stages of individual and social evolution and in this way, infused new fervor and zeal among them to explore the entire world, a press release of PM Office Media Wing said.

Prime Minister Kakar said that Dr Allama Iqbal through his philosophy taught the humanity a unique panacea of self-introspection to succeed in the world and in the after-world, without being influenced by worldly powers.

It was due to Dr Allama Iqbal’s everlasting wisdoms that the universities across the region and the world were still communicating them and continuing research on his poetry and philosophy, the PM added.

The Prime Minister further observed that Dr Allama Iqbal’s philosophy was acknowledged worldwide, besides his huge religious contributions had a conspicuous place. PM Kakar said that due to Dr Allama Iqbal’s message of awareness in the Muslims of the sub-continent regarding their basic rights, especially that of freedom promoted unity among them and eventually, they emerged as a nation.

Dr Allama Iqbal had given an idea of a separate, independent and sovereign Muslim state which was practically achieved by the country’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders of the Muslim League owing to their passion, hard work, sacrifices and national sentiment, the PM maintained.
